Re: Tiny Tiny Suggestion

No worries. This isn't even a change to the program but the smallest suggestion for the installation. I have never had to blow away the database for the program's benefit. Only when I clean up\move around a lot of files. I rebuild because it works so well! Thank you. My suggestion is that the instal...

Tiny Tiny Suggestion

When I install I always put a shortcut to the data files in the program files directory and then I move the uninstall shortcut to a subdirectory called 'uninstall'. That means that I can blow away the database and return to the main directory with the back arrow. More importantly, it stops me from f...

Thanks for Tuniac. Its great, honest software. I trust it more than commercial stuff.

Re: Testing - Thanks

The command line options work. So far I'm gravitating to these uses. I have Databases set up for my laptop and for my laptop with network drives. Without the drives I load a different database. I have added 'Relax' to the end of genre entries and made genre a searchable category in preferences. When...

Re: Testing - Thanks

Ok. Its a specialty case anyway. I assume the "Rebuild Media Library" follows the current database and won't pickup new sub directories. Would it be possible to add a "Rebuild database from root file system" in the Database Tools? You could make it grammatically easier with a dialogue for the user t...

Testing - Thanks

Since you asked how I use the program, I use a batch file program called "Launchy" http://www.launchy.net/ to load all of my work environment programs with a few keystrokes. Tuniac, two timer programs, and a documentation program start with 4 keystrokes. I'm experimenting with your custom version th...

Re: Make song less popular?

Thanks!

I'll try that.

Can I also ask about a small disconnect I see?

Everything on the forum talks about the program by release number but that's not in the 'about Tuniac' page. That goes by date.

Re: Make song less popular?

I am manually keeping separate databases I construct for different moods. Rather than have, in program, a selection to dump and reload. I close the program and copy a database from eg \studying to ..\Roaming\Tuniac\ I have directories with less popular songs that I just don't load into some DBs. Its...
