Re: Instant Messaging

I still use pidgin for instant messaging :)
Supports MSN (which is pretty much dead), XMPP (which means it supports Gmail & Facebook) and Skype (via a plugin).

Re: Back to Q&A antispam

You could always try playthru: http://portal.areyouahuman.com/installation/phpbb

Supposed to be unbroken for the moment (unlike reCaptcha) and is actually fun to do :)

Re: Tuniac 120722

Now that I'm back in the land of linux, I will do that (fix the badly named ones).

I normally do but a few must have slipped by my radar.

From memory I tried loading just a single invalidly named file in tuniac and it crashed (so I'm pretty sure it's the problem).

Re: Tuniac 120722

By invalid windows filenames I mean those containing invalid characters such as "? <> !", etc. My music drive is shared between linux & windows and linux has much less restrictions on what can be in a filename. Obviously if windows refuses to open a file with an invalid name then that can't be added...

Re: Tuniac 120722

This version & previous seem to die when trying to import my library (fresh install).

Any ideas?

EDIT: could having invalid window filenames cause this?

That would also work.

But then you wouldn't have the pleasure of implementing it yourself! :P
(plus I'm completely unfamiliar with tuniac's code base)

Sorry for the necromancy but is there anything you need to do to get that working?
Doesn't seem to work out of the box on my keyboard (logitech k320).

(once again, you're not on MSN :P)

Show/remove non-existent files

So currently, if a file ceases to exist in a playlist (say if you rename or delete it) when you try and play it, it gets skipped (I think the same thing happens in the media library). However if you queue it, then playback altogether stops (maybe that should get fixed). But anyway, it would be kinda...
